Zoonori is a musical interface based origami folding. It is composed of five devices that are 20 inches2 in surfaces and 3/8 inches thick. They can each be folded into five different animal designs – a penguin, whale, rabbit, goldfish or cicada. The concept is centered on converting personal origami crafting experiences into collaborative music creations. I believe that hand-crafting relates to DJing experiences through repetitive folding rhythms. Users can simultaneously construct and deconstruct both physical shapes and musical sounds. The ordered process of folding creates physical shapes and a unique musical sound.
